Making employees work without Reviews!!

For the most part, its safe to say that, employee reviews are mandatory according to company policy. However, your superiors will tell you that a raise is not automatic. I have been with my company for several years. Its been two years since I had a review. Now its a difficult situation because the management that drop the ball on my review is no longer at my store. Recently I brought it to the attention of my RD, who seemed surprised when i told him! Being as though sense of security and confidentiality has never been exhibited in my store, employees find out how much people make an hour. Intelligence got back to me that people who been with the company in less time as me, are making more than me. When thier accomplishments and knowleged of many positions fall short when measured against me. I have turned down three promotions within the last year! Which brings me to my new manager , who has tried to court me, over the last year, to be a supervisor once again, is trying to deny me a review and financial raise. He has gone as so far to talk to an hourly employee about how he is not giving me any more money. ” I dont Fuckin’ deserve it “, he says. This is the same manager who six to eight months earlier, along with the RD, was trying to get me to run the kitchen. This same manager has used some of my solutions that I gave him and not given me credit. These actions go totally against the integrity and character that I thought i knew of my manager and Regional Director!

This is the first entry of i hope many to come. I know it will be awhile before it catches on but i hope the WEB does not let me down. This an online diary pertaining to the place of my employment. Tired of being treated unfair by your managers, then this is the place to come vent. Tired of working at a place where loyalty, longevity, dependability, common sense solutions, punctuality and being a team player does not stand a chance against favoritism because you refuse to be a “yes man or woman”, then this the place. The names of the innocent and guilty will not be used to protect those who need protecting, but when this catches on , the guity will know who they are! I welcome not only UNO CHICAGO GRILL employees and managers, but also employees of other restaurants as well to vent until your heart is content.

My place of employment has gone under a transition phase that has been very rocky in the beginning like usual. We were in what i refer to as a HOSTILE TAKE OVER. New management means new rules. New management means new hires. New management means out with old and in with new. New management means ass kissers will stay and those with reasonably simple solutions or opinions will be weeded out. This is typical of many business management transitions. I have always believed that you need to balance your life with COMMON SENSE & BOOK SMARTS in all parts to have some type of balance.
